Summary
The ‘Workflow Templates’ page of the ‘Approvals’ section of the V5 Control Center allows users to create approval workflows that can be used throughout the V5 Traceability system.
This page provides a guide and column definitions for the ‘Workflow Templates’ window in Control Center. More information on approval workflows and their setup and use can be found in our module guide here.
Control Center Overview
The ‘Schedule’ section can be found under the ‘QMS’ > ‘Approvals’ menu in Control Center.
This window features 3 panels:
Approval Workflow Templates (Red): Users can create new Approval Workflow Templates here.
Workflow Stages (Yellow): With an Approval Workflow Template selected above, Workflow Stages can be added against it here.
Column Help – Approval Workflow Templates
Template Name
The name for the workflow template. This will be referenced when using the workflow.
Template Description
A description to compliment the template name above, can be used to provide further details.
Expected Completion Days
The number of days that the workflow and all its stages is expected to be completed within.
Column Help – Workflow Stages
Stage Number
The stage number of the approval workflow. This number is assigned and incremented by 1 from the last created stage when the stage is added.
Stage Description
The description of the stage, which will be shown against the stage when it is prompted for.
Assign to User Group
Allows a user group to be assigned to the workflow stage, meaning that anyone from that particular user group would be responsible for signing off that particular stage.
Time Limit (Hours)
The time limit for the particular stage.
Escalate To
The user that this stage will escalate to if the time limit above is exceeded.
