Summary

The ‘Commodity Groups’ section of the V5 Control Center allows users to group commodities together. This is mainly used for reporting and is useful for keeping track of groups of ingredients that may be used for common formulas, are commonly part of the same sales or purchase orders etc. See below for a full list of reports that Commodity Groups can apply to.

Control Center Overview

The ‘Commodity Groups’ section can be found under the ‘My Factory’ header in Control Center.

This section is split up into 2 panels:

  • Top (yellow) panel: Where commodity groups can be created and named.
  • Bottom (red) panel: Where individual commodities can be added to the groups created in the top panel.

Column Help – Top Panel

Code

Custom text input to create a shorthand code for the created commodity group. Must be unique.

Name

Custom text input to name the commodity group.

Column Help – Bottom Panel

Commodity Code 

Commodities can be added here, either by selecting them from a drop-down menu or by manually typing in the Commodity Code.

Commodity Description

Populated with the commodity description once a commodity code is selected.
