The ‘Template Groups’ page of the ‘Checklists’ section of the V5 Control Center allows for the grouping and event-based triggering of checklists created in the ‘Templates‘ section.
This page provides a guide and column definitions for the ‘Template Groups’ window in Control Center. More information on checklist setup can be found in our ‘Checklists’ module guide.
Control Center Overview
The ‘Template Groups’ section can be found under the ‘QMS > Checklists’ menu in Control Center.
This section is made up of 3 panels:
Checklist Template Groups (red): Where new template groups can be created.
Checklist Templates (yellow): With a group selected in the top panel, users can add individual checklist templates to that group.
Checklist Group Events (blue): With a group selected in the top panel, users can add commodity/event/location based triggers to designate where the checklist group will be triggered.
Column Help – Checklist Template Groups
Code
Allows the user to enter a unique code for the template group.
Name
Allows the user to enter a custom description for the group.

Checklist Templates
A drop-down menu to select checklists to add to the checklist group.
Column Help – Checklist Group Events
Commodity
Allows a checklist group to be assigned to a specific commodity if desired.
Event
Works in conjunction with the ‘Commodity’ trigger above to relate to a specific system event where the checklist group will be triggered. The different event types can be categorised as below:
Global Events:
Login – Asked when a user logs in to a V5 application.
Log Off – Asked when a user logs out of a V5 application.
Pre-Production/Receiving:
PO Start – Asked when a Purchase Order is started, before receiving lines of materials into inventory.
PO Start and Resume – The same as PO start, but this will also be triggered if a PO is suspended and then resumed.
Stock In – As goods are booked into stock, either via a PO or by receiving a new lot/pallet in WMS.
Production Start:
Batch Start – As a batch is starting. This will be asked after any allergen/hazard warnings.
Product Start – Similar to batch start, this is triggered when a product run begins.
Job Start – When a job starts, these will be asked after any batch/product start questions.
During Production:
Formula Step – Triggers at each formula step. More for use with specific commodities.
Production End:
Batch End – When a batch completes, either after the final step or batch signoffs (if enabled).
Job End – When a job ends, these will be asked after any batch end questions.
Product End – Similar to batch end, this is triggered when a product run ends.
Post Production/Shipping:
Dispatch – Upon shipping of a Sales Order.
Quality:
Lab Testing – Triggered when a lab test is performed. More for use with specific commodities.**
Warehousing:
Move Stock – Triggered whenever stock is moved. More for use with specific commodities.
Stock Adjustment – More for use with specific commodities, this is triggered when stock levels are adjusted by an operator.
Withdraw – Triggered when the stock withdrawal function is used in WMS.
Location
Allows further granulated setup of the checklist group trigger to include a production location.
