The ‘Formula Version’ report is very similar in appearance to the ‘Formula List‘ report, but instead can be used to generate a report that provides information on specific versions of particular formulas. This allows managers to easily recall previous formula compositions as required.

This report can be found under the ‘Lists’ header in the Jasper Reports suite, and if we select it we will see the following options for running it.

Here we must select a specific formula, as well as version of that formula to view. Note that the version selection provides a date/time range for when this particular version of the formula was active as the ‘current’ or ‘live’ formula.

We also have the option to exclude costs, include submixes, and to expand all mixes. Also note that unit conversion to the system’s base unit (in this case grams (g)) will also be featured if the formula/formula steps are not processed in this unit.

If we run the report as we have set it up in the image above, we will generate one that looks like this:

Clicking on the commodities used in formulas will generate a ‘Used In’ report for that particular commodity.
