The ‘Expired Stock’ report can be used to generate a report that lists expired stock across a customer’s facility.

This report can be found under the ‘Stock’ header in the Jasper Reports suite, and if we select it we will see the following options for running it.

• Show Commodities – Shows lots of expired commodities that have their ‘type’ set to ‘ingredient’
• Show Batch Formulas – Shows lots of any expired batch formulas
• Show Product Formulas – Shows lots of any expired product formulas
• Show Packaging – Shows lots of any expired commodities that have their ‘type’ set to ‘packaging’
• Show Miscellaneous – Shows lots of any expired commodities that have their ‘type’ set to ‘miscellaneous’
• Expiry Date From – Sets a filter from date, so any items that have an expiry date after this will be included in the report.
• Expiry Date To – Sets a filter to date, so any items that have an expiry date before this will be included in the report.
  • Leaving either of these fields blank will treat that field as today’s date.
• Expiry Threshold – Allows entry of a number of days to check ahead of the ‘To Date’ and see if any items will be expiring within that period. If so, these will be included on the report, along with how many days this lot has until expiry.
• Ignore Quantities Below – Excludes expired lots whose stock level falls below this threshold. This threshold will be applied per commodity in the commodity’s default stocking UoM.
• Select Commodity Group – Allows us to specify a commodity group to report on.
• Select Site – Allows us to select a specific site (and hence set of stock locations) to report on.
• Excel Friendly Format – Checking this box will change the formatting of the report to be more excel friendly.

If we run the report as we have set it up in the image above, we will generate one that looks like this:

• Clicking a lot number here will open a ‘Forwards Traceability’ report for that lot.
