The ‘Batch Yield’ report can be used to generate a report that displays the usage of a particular batch formula in product creation. The report will show a live view of all the subsequent products that the batch was used in, as well as calculating the yield and the waste of that particular batch at the time the report was generated. This is useful for managers wanting to track how efficiently batches are processed into products.

This report can be found under the ‘Production’ header in the Jasper Reports suite, and if we select it we will see the following options for running it.

Here we can select a batch to report upon. We can use the batch formula drop-down menu to further narrow down our options for batch selection, or we can search by batch number under the batch selection menu.

We can also choose to show or hide individual weighing figures.

If we run the report as we have set it up in the image above, we will generate one that looks like this:

Clicking on the batch formula title at the top of the page, or on any product formula titles listed below, will open a ‘Formula List‘ Report for that batch or product formula. Clicking the batch # for the batch formula will open a ‘Forward Traceability’ report for that batch. Clicking the job # for the batch formula here will open a ‘Job’ report for that job.
